In the 1960's, homosexual behaviour was prohibited. Bars and other spots for gay people were power down and their clients were arrested and openly humiliated. The authorities was often raiding these kinds of places in order to not be sure to let them get together.
The Stonewall Resort
The Stonewall Inn was obviously a gay bar located in Greenwich Village, Nyc. It was the only bar pertaining to gay men in New York City where moving was allowed. It became the home of teenagers who were not accepted or could not afford other places where the gay community would collect.
