A church whose pastor and others in leadership have failed to put in place a positive plan for discipleship for Believers is usually a " growing” house of worship — growing stagnant, growing cold, developing spiritually premature Christians, and ultimately, many growing closed. Patte said, " There is much at stake in accepting or perhaps rejecting the challenge of discipleship…” When a pastor or a house of worship makes a mindful decision to make discipleship of Believers a primary focus within their church, they want a plan. The pastor will make his personal plan, or find one that will fit the personality of the church. Putman, after some time, comes up with five stages and four spheres of discipleship. Spiritually dead may be the first of the five levels. This stage is basically a sinner who have not acknowledged Christ as their personal Messiah and God. This person is still living a life of sin, and want to quit this lifestyle. Spiritually dead individuals you don't have the love and forgiveness of Christ living within these people. The second level is being a child. " Christ has untied the person's quick connections with all the world and bound the individual immediately to Himself. ” This individual has just gone by being mentally dead to being spiritually alive, mainly because they asked Jesus to forgive all of them and asked Him to be their personal savior – their " ransom”, in the event you will. " Too many people have the belief that once you become a Christian you switch on autopilot. Christian growth is usually supernatural, not automatic. ” So with this stage of infancy, the newest born Christian will usually need many hours of focus and educating. Although an infant is growing, now in their life they're going to want things their method, they are self-centered. An infant is going to need that interest, love, and support by a mature Christian who will be able to withstand the immaturity with the infant. A child does not find out much regarding God or maybe the Christian life, so they will need to be taught. The third level is child. In this stage there is two-part growth. The kid is growing within their relationship with God and with other Christians. This is the stage where the believer is gaining a new familiarity with God. With this new expertise there will be various questions because the child in Christ will not understand what The almighty is saying or perhaps doing. Not only is the specific relationship with God developing, but now he or she is making new friends in the church. With any luck ,, he or she is developing relationships with mature Christians. The new a friendly relationship is growing because it is centered around Christ's appreciate and guidelines. This new romantic relationship should be among accountability. The mature Christian should be able to help answer the questions that the child in Christ requires, as well as explain how Goodness has called us to live holy and separate lives from the universe. " Should you work on the limited things that build faithfulness, character, and relationship, you prevent the majority of larger problems, by planning them away before that they happen. ” Stage several is small adult. This is actually the stage where you see the recently forming maturity of a Christian. " Psychic young adults are making a shift from staying self-centered to being dedicated to God, his love and admonishment as well as the needs and wants of his other man. ” The believers in this level are looking at the needs of others before their own needs. That they start counting on God to assist to notice what needs to be done in the chapel or they will start looking to be in a ministry because Goodness put the askin their existence. This is where they will learn to take pleasure in and dread God having a holy and righteous attitude. They are portion God and serving other folks because they need to...
