NECESSARY DUTIES: Performs a variety of regimen and complicated administrative, technological, and professional work in inspecting and administering various pieces of the environmental, health and safety courses. Employees with this position are considered confidential. Retaining the utmost privacy in dealing with employee records and business data. Working inside the Safety Label of the City of Farmington, this position reports straight to the Human Assets Director. The protection Officer supervises other employees within the department. Develops and maintains environmental, health and protection policies and program. Conducts periodic environmental, health, and safety audits in all City of Farmington features and with City deck hands. Plans and promotes security programs. Maintains knowledge of most applicable OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements and management practices because they may relate to the City of Farmington. Works together with environmental, health insurance and safety exhortatory committees to market and provide security expertise and in the development and presentation of safety training materials. Executes or helps with crash investigations while needed. Safeguards that procedures take required corrective action to prevent upcoming incidents. Convey recommendations for all concerned get-togethers promptly. TASK DESCRIPTION - SAFETY OFFICIAL
Conducts system assessments to recognize department system deficiencies. Patterns, develops and conducts safety and environmental training applications. Coordinates and conducts workshop assessment, studies, and software evaluations to determine the presence of hazardous circumstances, such as sound exposure, chemical substance exposure, in house air quality, mild levels, limited space, and ventilation in paint booths. Assists departments with certain training requirements by locating and scheduling outside teaching activities. Evaluates hazardous conditions and assigns risk analysis codes for use by departments to prioritize and price range corrective activities. Implements and manages the City's environmental management system. This includes administering the waste management contract, and coordinating unsafe and universal waste managing activities. Harmonizes with administration of workers' compensation program to determine areas to get increased training and focus on accident avoidance. Provides statistical and fiscal data on workers' compensation injuries. Maintains total and exact records as required. Works on various studies, including chart and graphs, to determine styles and needs. Gathers, analyzes and maintains data essential for powerful safety and environmental applications. Evaluates dangerous conditions and recommends anatomist controls, management controls, and personal defensive equipment. Works on and screens division spending budget requirements and expenditures. Grows fire prevention program to get City employees, including building evacuation procedures. Responsible for, and administers, the annual open fire extinguisher protection program as well as the annual sprinkler system inspection and test program. Designated the Employer Representative for the implementation and management from the City's Alcohol and drug Free Workplace Program. Conducts the unique and content accident screening program. Preserves accurate information in the supervision of these courses and keeps computer repository for these guidelines. Administers and offers technical suggestions on the medical surveillance software to include required vaccinations and medical assessment of employees as can be regulated by simply OSHA and also other federal and local regulations.
